Gmc acadia shudder when accelerating

Oct 13, 2016 · It was a GM trans and I brought it to the local dealer. They went thru the entire transmission, replaced the valve body, pump, and as well as a new transmission control module. I kept telling them, look I am old school and it feels like torque converter shudder.

We start to accelerate and the car moves, then there's a hesitation in the acceleration. Pressing the gas pedal further gets it out of this lull, as will waiting for a 1/2 second with the gas pedal in the same position. We purchased the Acadia on December 21, 2012, and it has exhibited this problem from day 1.Having the same issue on my 2020 GMC Acadia. Dealer performed the bulletin that pertains to 2020 but didn't fix issue. Mine is a little different in that most of the times it occurs from 1200-2000 rpms. My problem presents itself when I'm accelerating at lower speeds, let off the gas a little and then re-accelerate. The transmission feels like it slips momentarily and then re-engages with a sudden jolt/clunk. Some important things to know are that the 3-5-R waveplate was replaced preemptively 5 years ago (before it could ever go bad).
