As I understand it, the physical engine fits with very few modifications. The tricky part is getting the ECU and various electronic funtions to operate together. Yes you can get the LS motor for cheap, but without a swap kit the cost of making custom items can add up very fast. R154 and the V160 transmission can mount up with the 1UZ with a kit, makes things much more simple although you'll still have to worry about the wiring.
