Re: Mercury 2 Stroke 50hp Won't Idle. For everyone who might have this problem, I thought I would share the solution to the problem. The carbs were loaded with water and the fuel filter was half full of water. We are going to replace the gaskets, clean out the carbs, drain the fuel filter and replace it, and also put in an inline water seperater.

If I just hit the start and let off, they varied from 105-120 psi. I checked spark and had a good solid spark on all four cylinders.
