Prusa "Organic Supports" are based on this Tree Support 2.0 Fork for Cura btw. (Prusa adds a bit on top to improve them even further) If you're interested and can't wait or are too annoyed by Cura's default Tree supports, you can try them out over there. I've been getting the same thing but I think it's because of the filament I'm using likes to jam and I have a partial clog.
