Only recently did I get curious as to the age of it. Seems wherever I go on the internet, I am told you can find the serial number and age in the "Smith & Wesson Standard Catalog".

It is black and the serial number is printed on the bottom of the grip. The serial number is 222937. I have been unable to determine the date of manufacture, I tried the Smith and Wesson Standard Catalog but I didn’t see a way there to match the serial number with a date.
