Turn key and nothing happens but lights work

992 posts · Joined 2009. #1 · Jan 12, 2014 (Edited) Hey all, Was headed to work earlier this week (about 10 degrees outside), turned my key and nothing happened at all. Tried a few times, wiggled the key, no joy. The interior lights came on just fine and were bright. I went ahead and got a brand new battery considering my current was an OEM.

Very simple my friend, you need to clean the terminals on the battery and the connection. If you go to Kragen or AutoZone, they sell this battery terminal cleaner for only $1 or $2. Mar 19, 2014 · No, you should check to make sure there is power on the main wire and power on the signal wire with crank before replacing. The saftey switch is green and it's under the clutch pedal. With the clutch pushed it it touches it. To reset it simply pull the plunger out as far as possible.
